“The Devil’s Plan Season 3” is back with its biggest cast yet.
On October 8, Netflix announced the 16-contestant lineup, featuring some of the most decorated names in Korean brain survival shows. The season premieres globally on Netflix in the fourth quarter of this year.
According to Soompi, the show is helmed by PD Jung Jong Yeon of “The Genius,” “The Great Escape,” and “Girls’ High School Mystery Class.” Contestants from diverse backgrounds live together for seven days of intense competition and mind-bending games to crown the ultimate brain.
Headlining the cast is Jang Dong Min, billed as the “god of survival” after five straight survival competition wins, including “The Genius: Black Garnet,” “Society Game 2,” “Bloody Game 3,” and “Betting on Fact.” He is joined by former professional gamer turned pro poker player Hong Jin Ho and KAIST graduate and “human calculator” Oh Hyun Min.
Past “The Devil’s Plan” talent returns as well: Season 1 winner Ha Seok Jin, world-class poker player Kim Dong Jae, and Season 2 winner Jung Hyun Gyu will all compete again.
Also joining are rapper Xitsuh, Mensa top-1% member Yurisa (IQ 156), Super Junior’s Shindong, Seoul National University Ph.D. Hyun Kyung Ryul, Northwestern graduate John Park, Jaejae, rapper Nucksal, star instructor Lee Do, singer-songwriter Stella Jang, and board game fan Jung Won Young.
Producer Jung Jong Yeon shared, “We’re returning with the strongest cast in the franchise’s history,” and hopes viewers will watch first-time players face off against past winners.
