ENA’s “Between Steps” is off to a promising start. On October 6, the new romance drama starring Kim So Hyun and Choo Young Woo enjoyed an increase in viewership ratings for its second episode, continuing its opening-week momentum.
According to Nielsen Korea, “Between Steps” rose to an average nationwide rating of 2.4 percent for the night. The bump marks an encouraging trajectory for the ENA romance drama as it settles into its weekday slot.
Meanwhile, Channel A’s new drama “kiDnap GAME” kicked off its premiere on an average nationwide rating of 0.3 percent. The series launched directly against “Between Steps,” setting up an early head-to-head between the two freshman dramas.
No official statement was available from either network regarding the ratings.
The two dramas’ opening-week numbers will be watched closely in the coming days, as both are still finding their audiences. “Between Steps” will look to build on its gains with its next episode, while “kiDnap GAME” gets its first real chance to grow beyond its premiere figure.
