TWICE’s 11th anniversary fan event was supposed to be a celebration. Instead, the announcement from JYP Entertainment on October 5 has set off a wave of fury among fans.
According to Koreaboo, JYP put out an official notice confirming the 2026 TWICE FAN PARTY [ONCE UPON A THRI11] to mark eleven years since TWICE’s debut. The event is scheduled for October 17, KST, in three consecutive slots. Each slot holds 250 participants, for a total of just 750 people.
On top of the tiny capacity, the venue itself was left undisclosed, with the location to be revealed individually only to selected participants. For a group of TWICE’s stature celebrating an eleven-year milestone, fans saw the setup as deeply disrespectful and demanded better treatment.
The quotes say it all. @uppercasehyo wrote: “How do you look at 2 MILLION attendees and STILL decide to book a venue that can barely fit 250 people for a ONCE-in-a-lifetime 11th anniversary, while booking Tokyo Domes for other artists’ regular fanmeets?” Another fan, @sabrinatozakis, added: “Something very obvious is happening in JYP Entertainment where the company is deliberately targeting their girl groups.”
Fan account ONCESTREAMTWICE also flagged that the application requirements are unreasonably strict, effectively locking most international ONCEs out of attending.
Koreaboo noted that TWICE are currently on a break with the members focusing on solo activities, and that JYP has recently faced separate criticism over its treatment of female idol groups. No official statement was available beyond the original notice.
