Hyun Bin, So Ji-sub, Lee Jun-ho, and Kim Moo-yeol are among six actors battling for the top male acting prize at the Korea Drama Awards tonight.
According to E-Dailyâs report, the 17th Korea Drama Awards takes place today at 5:20 PM at the Gyeongnam Culture and Arts Center in Jinju. The awards cover dramas released from August last year through July this year across terrestrial broadcasters, cable, general programming channels, and streaming platforms.
The male Best Acting shortlist pits Kim Moo-yeol, Park Hae-soo, So Ji-sub, Lee Jun-ho, Lee Hee-joon, and Hyun Bin against one another. On the womenâs side, Go Youn-jung, Kim Go-eun, Shin Hye-sun, Im Yoon-ah, Lim Ji-yeon, and Jang Young-nam are in the running. Tonightâs ceremony will also reveal the Grand Prize winner, with last yearâs recipient Ahn Jae-wook returning to the stage to present the trophy himself.
The Best Drama race spans every platform: SBSâs âKim Bu-jang,â Netflixâs âLady Duaâ and âEunjoong and Sangyeon,â Disney+âs âMade in Korea,â and tvNâs âTyrantâs Chefâ are among the nominees. Fans have real power this year â popularity categories like Hot Star, Global Star, Rising Star, Best Couple, and OST are decided entirely by fan votes, and even the main acting and drama prizes factor in 10 percent of the fan ballot.
Actors Ryu Seung-soo, Park Yu-na, and Ha Do-kwon host the show. Ryu and Park, who currently play father and daughter on KBS2âs âěŹëě´ ě¨ë¤,â bring their on-screen chemistry to the stage, while singer Kim Hyung-joong delivers the congratulatory performance. The ceremony streams live on the Korea Drama Festivalâs official YouTube channel.
The awards are the centerpiece of the 2026 Korea Drama Festival, which runs in Jinju through October 18.
