Jung Ji Sun and Lee Moon Jung Face Off in Fiery Cooking Battle on 'Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears' cover

Star chefs Jung Ji Sun and Lee Moon Jung turned KBS2’s ‘Boss’s Ears Are Donkey Ears’ into a battleground on the October 11 broadcast, going head-to-head in a tense showdown over pride, working style, and cooking philosophy.

According to the original report by Ilgan Sports’ Kim Ji Hye, the two Chinese-cuisine chefs clash at every turn. Jung Ji Sun, a seasoned self-employed chef, did not hold back: “My unnie has only ever worked in hotels, so she’s a frog in a well. She has passion, but she doesn’t really know the restaurant business.”

Lee Moon Jung refused to back down, firing back that she would push ahead with her own style, raising the tension in the studio.

The rivalry then moved to the kitchen, where the two staked their pride on a full-on cooking battle. Jung Ji Sun whipped up her ‘Commander Beef Rolls’ in just 10 minutes with dazzlingly fast hands. Lee Moon Jung countered with a hotel-grade omakase featuring gujeolpan and black-and-white dumplings — a gujeolpan that took three hours of prep and endless knife work, prompting Park Myung Soo to sigh that at that pace, she’d be sick within three days of opening a restaurant.

Watching her frustration boil over, Jung Ji Sun fired a direct hit: “You have to actually run a business to know. How is that craftsmanship? That’s old-school.” She added, “If you insist like that, all the staff working with you will run away. You can’t run your own business like that.” Lee Moon Jung held her ground: “Food is made with the heart.”

Kim Sook, watching the war of words escalate, voiced what everyone was thinking: “At this rate, they’re going to have a big fight soon.”

Whether their rivalry becomes an all-out kitchen war or a friendly contest will unfold on KBS2.
