Actor Lee Joo Seung gave fans a full tour of his brand-new home on the October 9 broadcast of MBC’s variety show “I Live Alone.”
According to the original report, the episode revealed Lee’s move into a bigger place with three rooms and two bathrooms — living room, kitchen, bedroom, dressing room, and his own work studio.
Lee explained that he is expanding into directing and expects to spend more time at home, saying he wants to make writing his main career. The episode posted a 5.0% nationwide rating.
The move did not come cheap. Lee revealed he borrowed more than 70% of the jeonse deposit, joking that his bank account is completely emptied — “텅장,” in Korean slang. To help him settle in, fellow cast members sent housewarming gifts: Koo Sung Hwan sent a clothes dryer, Kian84 sent a speaker, and Jeon Hyun Moo sent a washer and dryer.
Jeon Hyun Moo joked on the show that Lee had sent him a link to cheap products, “so I sent domestic major-brand ones instead.”
Lee’s first housewarming guest was actress Chun Woo Hee, his close friend of 13 years. She helped him put tile stickers in the kitchen and gifted him a painting she drew herself. Lee said he hopes the new space brings new inspiration, and Chun cheered him on: “You’re a success! Congratulations! You’ll do even better in this house!”
