LUCY has unveiled the highlight medley for its eighth digital single, ‘Again!’ (다시!), giving fans a first listen to both tracks ahead of the single’s release on November 12. The band shared the medley video on its official YouTube channel on November 6, and member Jo Won-sang handled the lyrics, composition and arrangement for the entire single.
The medley presents the title track ‘Again!’ against bright, open scenery, matching the song’s refreshing sound. The track pairs a bright rhythm with lyrics about constantly colliding with the world, moving between driving beats and a more lyrical mood to trace turbulent inner feelings.
The second track, ‘아마 괜찮을 너에게’ (‘Probably You’ll Be Fine’), takes a warmer and more emotional turn. The song is about time that cannot be recovered and the regret that follows it, building through an affectionate violin melody and heavy drums into swelling band harmonies that push the feeling of longing to the front.
Jo Won-sang, who has overseen production on every LUCY release since the band’s debut, wrote, composed and arranged both songs, completing the band’s distinctive musical world. The single portrays people who stumble and carry regrets in an imperfect world, yet keep living with dreams in their hearts and with someone in mind — a theme the band expects to resonate deeply with listeners.
The single reaches streaming after an unusual road to release. LUCY first performed ‘Again!’ as an unreleased song during its 2026 9th concert ‘ISLAND’ encore in Seoul, held October 23 to 25 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium, where the band also unveiled three unreleased songs. Requests for an official release circulated among listeners after the shows, and the band confirmed the digital single on October 29, sharing a signature logo film and cover artwork through its official social media accounts.
The cover artwork shows a child standing with arms wide open under a night sky filled with shooting stars. On November 3, the members also shared handwritten notes for the single, written around the theme ‘To you who are like this, we present Again!,’ with Jo Won-sang writing about holding on to dreams that remain in the heart.
The song has already travelled with the band on stage. LUCY opened its Hong Kong encore show on November 3 with a live performance of the single, following it with fan favourites including ‘I Got U’ and a special cover of a song by local singer MC Cheung Tinfu, reinterpreted in the band’s own style. The ‘ISLAND’ encore run continues at the Capitol Theatre in Singapore on November 14, following earlier stops in Seoul, Taipei, Daegu and Yokohama, and a solo concert at the KSPO DOME in May that drew 25,000 fans.
‘Again!’ is LUCY’s first new music in about seven months, following the second full-length album ‘Childish,’ released on April 29, 2026. That album, the band’s first full-group release after the members returned from military service, gathered 15 tracks, including five new songs led by the title track ‘All Ages,’ alongside songs from the sixth mini album ‘Wajangchang’ and the seventh mini album ‘Sunflower.’ The four-member band — violinist Shin Yechan, vocalist and guitarist Choi Sangyeop, bassist and producer Jo Wonsang, and drummer and vocalist Shin Gwangil — debuted in May 2020 under Mystic Story and has built its identity on live instrumentation led by violin, a sound that Jo Won-sang’s full production credit on this single keeps front and centre.
Road-testing the song on stage before committing it to a release also fits the band’s concert-first character: the Seoul encore audience heard ‘Again!’ before any streaming platform did, and their response turned a one-off live moment into the band’s next single. LUCY’s eighth digital single ‘Again!’ will be released on November 12 at 6 p.m. KST on major music streaming platforms.
