SECRET's Jun Hyosung Still Facing Cyberbullying Five Years After Speaking About Night Safety cover

An online community post about SECRET’s Jun Hyosung has gone viral with over 56,000 views, highlighting that the singer is still receiving malicious comments about remarks she made five years ago.

Back in 2021, Hyosung was asked what a “safe Korea” looks like. She answered honestly: “Every time it gets dark and I need to get home, I ask myself, ‘Will I be able to get back home safely today?’” Since then, she has continued to receive mocking and malicious comments on her content.

One recent comment that circulated widely translated her remark as “Can I come back alive from the scary night streets?” and mocked her for it, prompting others to note how long the harassment has lasted.

Many netizens expressed shock that the comments continue to this day. “Men might feel safe at night because they aren’t being stalked and don’t experience the fear of unfamiliar people,” one widely shared post said. “It’s disgusting to see them harassing one woman all this time just because of something she said in 2021.”

The post’s rapid spread shows how much support remains for Hyosung, with fans saying a woman simply asking to feel safe walking home at night should never have been a reason for abuse in the first place.

No official statement was available from Hyosung’s agency on the renewed attention.
