Song Jin-woo Visits Uncle Lee Dong-jun's Guest House on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' and Gets 50% Off 2.6 Billion Won Home cover

Actor Song Jin-woo and his Japanese wife Minami paid a visit to his maternal uncle, actor and trot singer Lee Dong-jun, on the October 13 episode of SBS’s “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2” — and walked away with a jaw-dropping housing offer.

According to NewsEn, the couple dropped by Lee Dong-jun’s house and met his son Lee Il-min, an actor and singer, with Song proudly showing off his entertainment-packed maternal family. Panelist Lee Ji-hye admired Lee Dong-jun’s old clips, noting how handsome he used to be, while Kim Gura praised Lee Il-min’s looks and Kim Sook marveled at how many entertainers there are in one family.

The visit turned into a house tour. As OSEN reported, Lee Dong-jun showed the couple around what he described as a guest house rather than his own residence, explaining that he is developing a housing complex and living in the model home while the unit still awaits a buyer. He then told his nephew the house was originally priced at 2.6 billion won but offered him a 50% family discount.

The panelists teased that it sounded like he was pitching a sale to his own nephew. Song Jin-woo joked back, “Isn’t that what scammers usually do? I’m not saying my uncle is one,” drawing laughs in the studio.

Lee Dong-jun was a taekwondo athlete before debuting as an actor, and he also sang two of his own songs — unplanned — as a congratulatory gift at Song Jin-woo’s wedding. Song married Minami in 2015, and the couple have two children: daughter Umi, born in 2019, and son Haru, born in 2022.

No deal was signed on camera — but the 50% “family discount” gave viewers one of the season’s funniest housing negotiations.
