Eunha, SinB and Umji — the three members of VIVIZ — have officially signed exclusive contracts with UNCORE, ending their former agency era. UNCORE announced the signings on October 5, pledging full support for the trio’s next chapter as a team.
The news broke via Starnews Korea on October 5 and quickly picked up steam in the r/kpop community, where fans immediately zeroed in on one unresolved question: what happens to the VIVIZ name?
In its official statement, UNCORE said the trio had “been together for a long time since their debut in 2015, demonstrating their individual capabilities through solid teamwork,” and promised to “spare no support” so they can actively promote as a team going forward.
On the name, the agency admitted talks with the former agency over the VIVIZ trademark have stalled: “due to disagreement over the proposed conditions, we have not yet reached a final agreement.” With a swift, stable return to activities as the priority, performing under a new team name is also under consideration.
Fans wasted no time picking sides. “One Hundred has both no money and no shame. Trying to hang onto the Viviz name when they can’t even use it because the members are gone?” one commenter fumed in the r/kpop thread.
The three debuted in 2015 as members of GFRIEND before redebuting in 2022 as three-member VIVIZ, scoring hits with “BOP BOP!” and “MANIAC.”
The final team name and activity plans will be announced at a later date.
