‘I’m Solo’ alum Young-soo is facing an unexpected complaint from his virtual wife Gukhwa: the cigarette smell lingering on his towel and sleep mask.
According to Xports News, the October 12 broadcast of KBS Joy and MBC every1’s ‘Contract Marriage’ showed the fictional couple settling into their virtual married life. In the morning, Gukhwa wiped her face with Young-soo’s towel, then immediately picked up her own towel and wiped her face again.
The reason was simple: the towel reeked of cigarettes. Gukhwa explained, “The moment I used the towel, it smelled way too much of cigarettes.” Watching from the studio, MC Ahn Jung-hwan commented, “If you smoke at home, the smell gets into everything. His wife is a non-smoker, so she would notice all of it.”
Gukhwa said there was another sign of Young-soo’s smoking. He had lent her a sleep mask, but she ended up taking it off after putting it on. “The cigarette smell on the sleep mask and on the towel made reality hit me all at once,” she admitted, realizing that living together means sharing every habit.
The two then headed out for a walk together, continuing their virtual married life.
