LATENCY has a new bassist. The K-rock band revealed a new member, SOOBIN, who takes over bass duties, in a member reveal post shared on October 9.
The reveal surfaced on r/kpop through a post titled “LATENCY - New Member Reveal: SOOBIN (Bass),” which appeared within the last few hours. According to the original discussion, the announcement came as a standalone reveal introducing SOOBIN to fans.
SOOBIN fills the bassist vacancy left by Semi. LATENCY is a South Korean female rock band under Oddinary Records that officially debuted on January 8, 2026, with the single “It Was Love.” The group followed up on March 18, 2026, with their first EP, “Late O’Clock.”
The band’s lineup has seen major changes this year. Hyunjin announced her departure in May to prioritize her health, and in August, Haeun, Jeewon, and Semi left for personal reasons, leaving Heeyeon, the group’s lead guitarist known online as Fingerstylish, as the only remaining member. No official statement from Oddinary Records was available in the materials.
SOOBIN’s arrival marks the first step in rebuilding the band’s lineup after the August departures. More details on her background and the band’s next moves are expected to follow.
