BABYMONSTER has shared a new set of music video still cuts for their upcoming digital single “DESERVE,” continuing the countdown to its release on October 23 at 1 p.m. KST.
Four still images were unveiled, showing the seven members in cinematic scenes from the video. The stills lean into the moody, vintage-inspired visual direction introduced with the song’s teaser poster earlier this week — a sharp contrast to the dreamy, ethereal tone of the group’s earlier teasers.
“DESERVE” was confirmed as the group’s new digital single on October 14, when YG Entertainment released an official teaser poster across its social media channels. It arrives as a swift follow-up to “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,” which dropped in June, and was first hinted at by a mysterious “COMING SOON” teaser posted on the group’s official accounts on October 6.
The new stills build on the visual identity YG set for the comeback last week. The original teaser poster, unveiled on October 14, was drenched in a moody black-and-white aesthetic, with the title “DESERVE” rendered in soft, blurred typography against a textured background resembling torn paper. The Korea Times noted the vintage, raw visual direction offered a dramatic contrast to the dreamy, ethereal tone of the group’s earlier teasers, instantly sparking fan speculation about the concept behind the new song.
YG Entertainment executive producer Yang Hyun-suk described the track as a slow-tempo song with an unexpected punch. “While it is a slow-tempo song, it carries an even more intense energy than any track we have released so far,” he said in a message posted to the agency’s official FROM YG blog, as quoted by The Korea Times.
Yang added that the song blends the members’ delicate vocal textures with raw, explosive vocal power, building toward what he called an overwhelming emotional peak. He also revealed that a full-length BABYMONSTER album is already in the works, targeted for release early next year.
“DESERVE” continues one of the busiest years for the group to date, with their third EP, “CHOOM,” and singles including “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,” “I LIKE IT,” and “MOON” all landing in 2026. The group’s “I LIKE IT” music video recently surpassed 100 million views, adding momentum heading into the new single.
The release will also land during the group’s second world tour, the 2026–27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR ‘CHOOM,’ giving fans new material ahead of their upcoming tour stops.
