Solbi and Lee Kyu-han are getting married. The singer-turned-painter and the veteran actor will tie the knot next April, Solbi’s agency Gian Castle officially confirmed on October 15.
According to the agency’s statement, the couple “promised to become husband and wife based on trust and love for each other.” They recently held a meeting with both families to share their marriage plans. The wedding will take place in April 2027 as a private ceremony attended only by family, relatives, and close friends.
Gian Castle asked for warm wishes, saying, “We would be grateful if you could send warm congratulations and support to the two as they begin a new chapter of life.” The agency added that Solbi and Lee Kyu-han will grow together as “precious companions and supporters” who stand by each other’s journeys.
The couple’s story goes back about 20 years. They first met two decades ago and appeared together on MBC’s variety show ‘Oppa Thinking’ in 2017. They reconnected last year as cast members on KBS Joy and KBS2’s dating show ‘Old Encounters Pursuit’ Season 3. On the show, Solbi picked Lee Kyu-han, but he forfeited his final choice — the two kept in touch afterward anyway and developed into a real couple.
Solbi, 42, born Kwon Ji-an, debuted in 2006 with the mixed group Typhoon before going solo, and has worked as a painter under her birth name since 2010. Lee Kyu-han, 46, debuted in the 1998 MBC drama ‘Love and Success’ and has since starred in hits including ‘My Lovely Sam-soon,’ ‘Que Sera Sera,’ ‘Graceful Family,’ ‘The Judge from Hell,’ and ‘The Haunted Palace.’
Four years apart in age, the longtime colleagues turned lovers are now set to begin life as husband and wife.
