R&B singer Crush and IU are joining forces for the first time on a brand-new digital single. Crush will release “‘빠그덕’ (seesaw)” featuring IU on October 21 at 6 p.m. KST, the song’s first teaser was unveiled on October 15 through Crush’s agency P NATION’s official social media channels.
According to Korean outlet SPOTV News, the teaser video shows Crush and IU absorbed in a studio session together. Toward the end of the clip, a brief snippet of the new track plays, giving listeners their first taste of the two vocalists’ combined sound — a pairing that immediately raised anticipation for the full release.
Soompi’s English-language coverage of the teaser confirmed the same details: IU is shown at the recording studio, singing a short excerpt of “seesaw,” which arrives on October 21 at 6 p.m. KST as Crush’s digital single with IU as the featured artist.
The collaboration carries extra weight because both singers are widely regarded as top-tier vocalists and singer-songwriters in Korea. Although they have crossed paths for years — each appeared as a guest at the other’s solo concert in 2019, and Crush guested on “IU’s Palette” in 2022 — this is the first song they have officially released together, making the duo’s long-awaited musical meeting a notable event for K-pop and K-R&B fans alike.
“‘빠그덕’” is also a significant release for Crush himself. Per SPOTV News, it is his first new music in about one year and two months, following his EP “FANG,” which came out last August. The single now marks his first offering of this fall season.
With just days to go before the drop, fans have the teaser snippet to dissect — and a full pairing of two of Korea’s most beloved voices waiting on October 21.
No further track details have been announced beyond the October 21 release date, so it remains to be seen whether “‘빠그덕’” stands alone as a one-off single or opens a larger project cycle for Crush this fall.
