"Hamilton" Reveals Korea Tour Cast for Busan and Seoul Ahead of November 11 Ticket Opening cover

The world tour of “Hamilton” has revealed its cast for its long-awaited Korea debut, with Jason Arrow set to play Alexander Hamilton when the production opens in Busan in December before moving to Seoul in January.

According to Xports News, the Busan run will play at Dream Theatre from December 17, 2026, to January 16, 2027, followed by the Grand Theater of Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul from January 21 to March 20, 2027. Premiere tickets for the opening weeks in both cities will open on November 11.

Arrow has played the title role for about four years in the Australian premiere production and the international tour production. Jay Perry will play Aaron Burr, a role he previously played in London’s West End, where he won best actor at the Black British Theatre Awards. Nicola Espallardo will play Angelica Schuyler, following West End appearances in “Hamilton” and “Wicked.”

The principal cast also includes Mark Anderson as King George, Jordan Castle as George Washington, John Devereaux as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison, Jake Halsey-Jones as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton, Jorrel Javier as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, Jen Sese as Eliza Hamilton, and Charlotte Mary Wen as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds. The touring company draws performers from Broadway, West End, Australian, North American and British tour productions.

Director Thomas Kail said the production had “the special opportunity to select the best actors with outstanding skills from all over the world,” adding that every actor brings “talent, ability and human depth” that make the work shine, and that audiences will see them together on one stage for the first time.

The Korea engagement is the launch of a newly assembled world tour and the show’s first presentation in Korea, more than a decade after its Broadway premiere in 2015. Unlike a Korean-language licensed production, the tour will be performed in English, and it opens in Busan rather than Seoul.

Based on historian Ron Chernow’s biography, “Hamilton” was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the book, music and lyrics. The musical tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, the American statesman, through honor, love and political conflict, using 46 songs that blend hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway music. It has won 11 Tony Awards, along with Grammy, Olivier and Pulitzer honors.

With the cast confirmed, the November 11 ticket opening is next for Busan and Seoul audiences.
