KATSEYE's 'Gabriela' Surpasses 1 Billion Spotify Streams for Group's First Billions Club Entry cover

KATSEYE has earned its first entry into Spotify’s Billions Club. The HYBE-Geffen Records global girl group saw its hit single “Gabriela” surpass 1 billion cumulative streams on the platform, reaching the milestone on October 16, 2026, according to Spotify data reported by Korean media outlets including MBC Entertainment and The Korea Times.

The achievement came 484 days after the song’s release on June 20, 2025. “Gabriela” was unveiled as the pre-release track for KATSEYE’s second EP “BEAUTIFUL CHAOS” and has become the group’s first billion-stream song. The track blends polished pop production with Latin-tinged acoustic guitar melodies, and its telenovela-inspired music video features a surprise cameo by Hollywood actress Jessica Alba. As of October 18, the video had drawn more than 97.3 million views on YouTube and was closing in on the 100 million mark.

The streaming milestone caps a long, steady run on major music charts. “Gabriela” peaked at No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated January 17, marking the group’s highest position at the time, and remained on the chart for 28 weeks. It also spent 26 weeks on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, peaking at No. 9. On Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart, the song peaked at No. 10 and has logged 64 cumulative weeks, while it reached No. 38 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Top 100.

KATSEYE has kept the momentum going with its latest EP “WILD,” released August 14, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated August 29. Three tracks from the EP — “PINKY UP,” “Animal” and “Hootie Frutti” — entered the Hot 100 and have each passed 100 million Spotify streams, with “Animal” reaching the mark in just 32 days, a record for the group. The group also earned two nominations at the 68th Grammy Awards: Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Gabriela.” KATSEYE is the global girl group launched by HYBE and Geffen Records under chairman Bang Si-hyuk’s “multi-home, multi-genre” strategy, built on the K-pop production system. Two members, Sophia and Manon, are currently on hiatus to focus on their health and well-being, with Sophia set to rejoin the group in January, according to The Korea Times.

The group is currently on its “THE WILDWORLD TOUR,” having wrapped the European leg in September and launched the North American leg in Miami on October 13. KATSEYE was also slated to perform at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles on October 18, and is set to take the stage at the 2026 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour on December 1.
