Kim C of Hot Potato Makes Rare Public Appearance in New Fashion Pictorial After Years Away from TV cover

Singer Kim C, longtime frontman of Korean band Hot Potato, has made a surprise return to the public eye — graying beard, messy hair, and all — through a brand-new fashion pictorial.

According to OSEN, the photos were unveiled by fashion culture magazine eyesmag, which announced via its official SNS on the 8th that Kim C and fashion brand Spectator had teamed up again after 10 years — a rare sighting of the singer, who has made few TV appearances in recent years.

In the released photos, Kim C looks a world away from his old variety-show persona: flecked gray beard, tousled hair, and a deep gaze, leaning into the passage of time. Looks range from a pink hoodie under a black jacket with beige pants to a checkered overcoat with blue trousers, plus a glasses look with a pulled-up collar.

No statement from Kim C himself was available. Eyesmag noted both sides share “steadfastly pursuing their own creative work with the support of passionate fans,” and expects strong synergy from the reunion.

Kim C built his name as Hot Potato’s vocalist, known for a distinctive musical world, and was a familiar face on KBS 2TV’s 1 Night 2 Days. With the singer largely absent from TV lately, the update has drawn extra attention.

Whether the shoot signals more activity to come remains to be seen — but for now, fans can enjoy this new chapter: a calmer, silver-flecked Kim C.
