Actor Lee Tae-sung has revealed that he wants to remarry and have a daughter. The actor-painter made the confession on the October 9 broadcast of Channel A’s “Groom’s Class 2.”
According to OSEN, Lee joined the studio where host Tak Jae-hoon introduced him as a former baseball player. Asked for an update on his son, Lee said the boy is in his third year of middle school, stands 187 centimeters tall — taller than his father — and focuses on studying rather than sports.
Lee said his son is at an age where he understands relationships, and that he supports the teenager’s dating life. When Tak Jae-hoon cautiously asked whether that meant he himself was thinking about remarrying, Lee answered directly: “I want to get married and have a child. I want to have a daughter.”
The episode also set Lee up on a blind date with veterinarian Cho Hee-jin, whom he had met five years earlier. Both divorced parents — he with a ninth-grader, she with a seventh-grade daughter — the pair bonded over stories about their kids. Lee bragged that his son has never missed the top spot in his class, prompting the panel to tease him for showing off on a date.
Lee registered his marriage in July 2012 with a non-celebrity seven years his senior; the couple divorced after about three years, and he has raised his son alone since.
