Lim Ji-yeon Takes Outstanding Korean Actress at 2026 Seoul International Drama Awards for My Royal Nemesis

Lim Ji-yeon has picked up an Outstanding Korean Actress trophy at the 2026 Seoul International Drama Awards for her turn as Shin Seo-ri in “My Royal Nemesis.”

The ceremony took place on October 8 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, honoring a record 352 entries from 46 countries and regions across International Competition, K-Drama Competition, and International Invitation categories.

It was a double win for the drama: Lim Ji-yeon took the actress honor while the series also won the Best Miniseries award in the International Competition. Koo Kyo-hwan was named Outstanding Korean Actor for “We Are All Trying Here.”

The win was shared on the r/kdramas community, where a post noting that her acceptance speech had been translated drew quick congratulations. “Well deserved,” one commenter wrote, adding that the cast clearly had fun making the drama “and it shows.”

In her translated speech, the actress said the drama was made by people who worked as one and genuinely supported each other. She thanked director Han Taeseok for believing in her and backing her, and writer Kang Hyunjoo for words that gave her courage. She also singled out co-star Heo Namjun among the people she was honored to work with.

The original poster added their own praise, saying Ji-yeon “did an incredible job as Shin Seo-ri” and wishing for her to reunite with Heo Namjun as co-leads in another romance drama.

With the ceremony airing live on MBC, the trophy caps a strong awards run for the hit series.
