D-day has arrived: band QWER is set to play two sold-out concerts in Taipei on October 10 and 11, launching the global leg of their second tour.
According to a report by Sports Kyunghyangâs Kim Won-hee, the shows take place at Taipeiâs NTSU Arena and have sold out all seats.
The Taipei dates are part of the groupâs second tour, titled âQWER 2nd TOUR âROCKATION : ROCKET LAUNCH!!ââ, and mark the start of QWERâs first major push outside Korea. The report notes that the group plans to use the stage to show its ambition of spreading QWERâs music to a wider world, like a rocket stretching into space.
No direct quotes from the members were included in the report.
Musically, the band is expected to lean on its signature upbeat and refreshing band sound to tell a story of youthful growth, with the group saying it wants to prove a broader musical spectrum on this tour.
QWER opened the tour in Seoul on September 12 and 13. After Taipei, the tour continues across Asia with stops in Fukuoka on October 13, Osaka on October 15, Tokyo on October 17, Kuala Lumpur on November 7, Bangkok on November 14, Hong Kong on January 2, 2027, and Singapore on January 8 and 9, 2027.
The bandâs global expansion will be one to watch as the tour rolls through its Asian stops in the coming months.
