Shinae An Sings Third OST 'Bloom' for Kim Ji Won's SBS Drama 'Doctor X: Era of the White Mafia'

Singer-songwriter Shinae An has joined the lineup of the SBS medical noir drama “Doctor X: Era of the White Mafia,” releasing the drama’s third OST single “Bloom” on October 16 at noon KST through major Korean music platforms.

According to multiple Korean outlets, including Xportsnews and Sports Khan, “Bloom” is a song about refusing to stop moving forward in a bleak reality. It channels the will to blossom on one’s own amid anxiety and confusion, carried by Shinae An’s powerful vocals, adding musical depth to the conflicts and emotions the drama’s characters face.

“Doctor X: Era of the White Mafia” is the Korean remake of the hit Japanese series “Doctor X,” starring Kim Ji Won as genius surgeon Gye Soo Jung alongside Lee Jung-eun and Son Hyun-joo. The Friday-Saturday drama premiered on October 9 and got off to a strong start, posting a peak rating of 12.9 percent, with 11.4 percent nationwide and 11.2 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area, per Xportsnews.

Shinae An has been active throughout the year. In April she released the remake album “Best Before,” fronted by her version of Kim Gun-mo’s “Love Alone,” with three more remade tracks: Spring Summer Fall Winter’s “People Change,” Kim Hyun-chul’s “Why” and Won Mi-yeon’s “Farewell Journey.” She followed that with an eight-session small-theater concert series, “SCENE A,” at Seoul’s Yeonnam Space from April 25 to May 17.

The official music video for “Bloom” was released on Genie Music’s YouTube channel, with SBS Catch also posting an MV version on its own channel. The track is available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and all major Korean streaming services, and views on Genie Music’s official channel count toward official chart tallies.

Shinae An is next set to perform at the festival-style concert “HEARTBEAT BY DUDUDO 2026” at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium on October 17, giving fans a chance to hear “Bloom” live just one day after its release.
