TOMORROW X TOGETHER have given fans their first listen to “Angel Bite.” On November 1, the group shared a 10-second preview of the title track from their ninth mini album “PERFECT STORM” through their official channels, offering the clearest taste yet of the sound they will bring to their November comeback.
According to OSEN, the short clip is built around a sharp emotional contrast. It opens with a familiar smiling emoji, then shifts as a tear forms in one eye, pairing a bright image with a darker undertone over a beautiful yet wistful melody. StarNews, which also covered the reveal on November 1, described the same sequence: the smiley gives way to tears while the phrase “That angel bite” cuts through the melody in a powerful vocal tone. In just 10 seconds, the teaser sets up the bittersweet mood the group is aiming for, with upbeat music and a yearning melody pulling in opposite directions.
BIGHIT MUSIC explained the track’s identity in a statement carried by both Korean outlets. “Angel Bite” is described as a discoplug song that blends a playful, game-sound-inspired track with a rough yet nostalgic melody. The agency said the song packs energetic drive together with desperate emotion, telling the story of a youth that is flawed and not always beautiful, but still determined to stay beside the person it loves. That framing positions the song as a TOMORROW X TOGETHER-style love song: bright on the surface, ache underneath.
The preview lands at a carefully staged point in the comeback rollout. “PERFECT STORM” is due on November 16 at 6 p.m. KST, and the group has been building toward it for weeks. The concept trailer “Storm is Coming,” released on October 19, showed the five members, Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai, facing an approaching storm and moving from uncertainty toward a leap into the unknown. Concept photo series followed under the themes “RIDE THE STORM,” “EYE OF THE STORM” and “HOLDING THE STORM,” and the full promotion schedule, published on October 21, mapped the remaining steps: an album preview on November 5, a music video teaser for “Angel Bite,” and then the album and its music video on November 16.
The tracklist itself was revealed on October 24. “PERFECT STORM” carries six songs in total: alongside the title track, the album includes “Storm is… (Something Different from Before),” “Higher Love,” “Sweetest Escape,” “Touch the Sky” and “Hate It or Love It.” Earlier coverage framed the album around the growing pains of Generation Z, as teenage fantasy gives way to the weight of reality, and the title track’s theme of anxiety and inadequacy set against the desire to remain close to someone loved fits that frame directly. The opener, by contrast, takes a bolder stance about diving into the storm and breaking free from a seemingly inescapable reality, whatever may be lost along the way.
Early indicators suggest the comeback is already drawing a global audience before a single full song has been released. On October 26, “PERFECT STORM” recorded about 300,000 pre-saves on Spotify, topping the platform’s Top 10 Countdown chart, according to earlier reports. StarNews later reported that the album held the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s Top 10 Countdown for seven consecutive days from October 26 to November 1, a run that carried straight into the week of the “Angel Bite” preview. The pre-release attention fits the scale of the return: “PERFECT STORM” is TXT’s ninth mini album and their first release in about seven months, following their April mini album.
The timing also ties the album directly to the group’s live plans. TXT will open their fifth world tour, “STEAL THE WIND,” with three nights at Seoul’s KSPO Dome from November 13 to 15, just before the album arrives on November 16. The album release lands the day after the opening run ends, raising the question of whether Seoul audiences will hear new material on stage first.
“Angel Bite” also continues a signature thread in TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s discography. The group has built much of its identity around youth-focused love songs, including “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You),” “LO$ER=LO♡ER” and “Over The Moon.” The new track appears to extend that lineage, trading romantic fantasy for a more self-aware look at staying together through a difficult reality.
For a group whose comebacks are usually teased in layers, the 10-second clip is the moment the concept turns audible. The storm imagery of the trailer and photos now has a sound: a bright, game-like pulse under a melody that turns wistful almost immediately. Fans will not have to wait long to hear how far that contrast goes. The album preview arrives on November 5, the “Angel Bite” music video teaser follows, and the full album and video land on November 16 at 6 p.m. KST.
