Upcoming teen romance drama “Summer Vacation” has released a new teaser and character posters, turning a summer meet-cute into a tense three-way fight.
According to Soompi’s report, Cho Yi Hyun stars as Kim Ha Yeon, an ordinary high school student with a mysterious summer experience. B1A4’s Jin Young stars as Jo Yu Gyeom, a boy her age who feels trapped by his traditional family’s strict rules.
Kim Ha Yeon, longing to escape reality, meets him when she accompanies her father on a business trip to the village of Upo. The character posters capture the pair locking eyes in Upo, with the tagline: “This summer, I met you as if by fate.”
Conflict arrives in the form of Jo Yu Gyeom’s girlfriend Sung Sae Ryung (Hong Ye Ji). She threatens, “I’m going to kill you today,” and declares war: “I’m going to take Jo Yu Gyeom away from you, no matter what.”
The exchange between the two rivals cuts deep. Kim Ha Yeon asks, “But if you had a girlfriend, why did you do that to me?” Jo Yu Gyeom retorts, “You’re the one who approached me first.” She refuses to give up, vowing, “I’m going to be the one to save Jo Yu Gyeom. And Jo Yu Gyeom will save me too.”
No premiere date was given in the report. With a love triangle forming between the three teenagers, the summer promises anything but calm.
