Yves has unveiled the music video teaser for ‘Hysteric,’ the first half of her upcoming double single, which arrives on October 27, 2026. The teaser, which surfaced on YouTube on October 25 and was quickly flagged by fans on r/kpop, offers the first moving glimpse of the song’s visual world just two days before its release.
‘Hysteric’ will be released alongside ‘Adam’ as a double single. Advance coverage of the project describes the two songs as two moments of the same feeling: ‘Hysteric’ lives inside anxiety as it unfolds, while ‘Adam’ lingers in the afterimage once it has passed. Together, the pair sets the tone for what comes next.
The double single is the lead-in to Yves’ fifth EP, ‘Cute & Anxiety,’ due on November 20. The five-track EP explores the blurred boundary between cuteness and anxiety, weighing outside affection and energy against inner doubt and what Yves has described as a kind of ‘bad courage’ in search of balance. Physical pre-orders for the EP are already open, with editions including a 34-page photobook.
Yves’ team has not issued a separate written statement about the single; the teaser itself serves as the announcement.
The release follows her April 2026 EP ‘NAIL,’ her fourth EP, and arrives alongside a photography pop-up, ‘A Little of BOTH,’ which opened on October 23 across five Asian cities: Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Manila. The exhibition, built around photographs taken by Yves, runs ahead of the Asia leg of her ‘Yves Tour 2026’ in early November, giving fans a more personal way into the world of the new EP.
Yves first rose to prominence as a member of LOONA before building a solo career defined by mood-driven, alternative-leaning pop. Each of her recent EPs has sharpened that identity, with ‘NAIL’ continuing a run of carefully staged comebacks that favour atmosphere and storytelling over spectacle. ‘Hysteric’ looks set to continue that approach: the teaser arrives as a mood-setter rather than a plot summary, leaving the song itself to do the talking on October 27.
