BELIFT LAB announced on October 18 that ILLIT member Iroha sprained her ankle during rehearsal for the group’s encore concert, receiving hospital treatment and care for the injury.
According to a report by TV Report (reporter Lee Hye-mi), the agency released the statement through ILLIT’s official account the same day: “Iroha received hospital treatment and care after spraining her ankle during today’s concert rehearsal.”
The agency added that while the artist herself is determined to take part in all scheduled stages, the company will put the artist’s protection first and operate her participation flexibly. “We ask for your understanding that her stage participation may be partially limited if symptoms arise during performances, in order to protect the artist,” BELIFT LAB said, promising to “do its utmost for the artist’s recovery.”
ILLIT is currently meeting fans at ‘ILLIT LIVE ‘PRESS START♥’ ENCORE in KOREA’ at Incheon Inspire Arena, which opened this weekend. The encore concert runs during a critical stretch for the group.
The injury comes just days before ILLIT’s comeback: the group is set to release its 5th mini album ‘BREAK EVEN’ on October 26. Fellow member Moka will not take part in that comeback cycle as she remains on hiatus to focus on her health, after returning briefly in May following an April health scare.
Fans are now waiting for updates on whether Iroha can take the stage in full for the remaining encore dates and the comeback promotions.
