Breaking news from Korea’s media world: YTN anchor Um Ji Min and star art docent Jung Woo Chul are getting married on October 18.

According to TV Report, the couple shared the news on October 12 by posting their wedding photos on their respective personal accounts, less than a week before the ceremony.

Um Ji Min spoke directly to her followers. “I found someone who supports me in everything I do,” she wrote, adding that she finally has a lifelong cheerleader. She thanked everyone who helped with the preparations and apologized for announcing it so late.

Jung Woo Chul posted his own heartfelt message the same day. “I never imagined a day like this would come while working as a docent,” he wrote. He revealed he had once given up on marriage over practical worries, but life turned around and he met someone he deeply loves. He called Um Ji Min his beautiful and thoughtful other half and promised to grow into a more mature person in life’s next chapter.

Um Ji Min is a former Miss Korea 2014 Gangwon/CJ HelloVision titleholder who worked at an economic broadcaster and a news channel before joining YTN, where she anchors news and current-affairs programs. Jung Woo Chul is one of Korea’s most recognized exhibition docents, known for making art accessible through engaging storytelling. He has appeared on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” and stays active with lectures and books.

The pair ties the knot on October 18.
