Fans of BTS’s Jimin in Peru have taken over a subway train to celebrate the idol’s birthday.

Peruvian fan group JIMIN PERU 13 teamed up with Lima Metro Line 1 for “A Train of Love for Jimin,” a special project ahead of Jimin’s birthday on October 13, according to a Star News report. The entire exterior of the train was wrapped with Jimin’s photos, his name, and heart, star, and cloud decorations, turning an ordinary commuter ride into a birthday celebration.

Lima Metro Line 1’s official social media account introduced the birthday train to the public, writing that it was a birthday “worth celebrating big” and that the celebration was already “on the move.” The account posted the train’s photos alongside the message “JIMINDAY” and encouraged residents to ride the train and join the celebration.

The project has drawn coverage from major Peruvian outlets including El Comercio, RPP Noticias, Agencia Andina, TVPeru, Exitosa Noticias, and Diario Correo, showing how far the birthday stunt has resonated across the country.

The timing adds to the buzz: BTS’s world tour concerts ran in Peru on October 9 and 10 local time, so the concert fever is expected to blend with birthday celebrations when Jimin’s big day arrives on the 13th.

No official statement from Jimin or his agency about the project was reported.
