BTS's Jungkook Proposes with 7-Carat Diamond Ring in Graff's 'I Wish' Holiday Campaign

BTS's Jungkook Proposes with 7-Carat Diamond Ring in Graff's 'I Wish' Holiday Campaign cover

BTS’s Jungkook has turned a luxury holiday campaign into the internet’s favourite proposal, presenting a 7-carat oval-cut diamond ring to the camera in Graff’s new festive film, ‘I Wish.’ The clip, released through the British high jewellery house’s official website and social media channels, has fans joking that the BTS star just proposed to them.

According to Star News, the film shows Jungkook in an all-white suit wearing pieces from the Laurence Graff Signature collection, including a necklace, bracelet, ring and earrings, while shifting through a series of gestures and expressions. The video builds to its final scene, in which Jungkook opens a ring case to reveal the 7-carat oval-cut diamond ring. The moment is staged so much like a proposal that fans immediately treated it as one, and the closing shot — the ring extended toward the camera — has become the campaign’s most shared image.

The Graff film arrived on the same day as a new Calvin Klein holiday shoot, giving fans two sharply contrasting versions of the star. In the Calvin Klein photos, released first, Jungkook wears a black leather jacket with light-wash jeans in a deep burgundy-toned room, lying diagonally across a curved lounge chair, covering his face with both hands, or standing with his back turned before a stack of CRT televisions that reflect his image on every screen. Calvin Klein previewed more content with the words “stay tuned.”

Fans on X were quick to place the two shoots side by side, dubbing the contrast “Black Jungkook, White Jungkook.” Reactions to the ring scene were swift and playful, with fans posting lines such as “The moment I just got proposed to by Jungkook” and “My answer is… Yes!!” One fan also spotted Jungkook’s finger tattoo — the name of the BTS fandom, ARMY, engraved on his fingers — clearly visible in a close-up as he gathered his ring-wearing hand to his chest. Another fan wrote that Jungkook was proudly showing off the ARMY tattoo he cherishes while beautifully displaying the ring.

Jungkook is Graff’s first global ambassador in the house’s 66-year history. When the appointment was announced, Graff chief executive Francois Graff described the BTS star as “a cultural force.” Founded by Laurence Graff in 1960, the British house is known for its rare diamonds, and its latest festive campaign is built around the idea that every wish can be brought to life through its jewels. The campaign film opens with more than 200 carats of Graff diamonds illuminating the words “I Wish,” followed by scenes in which dreams become reality in the form of high jewels worn alongside fine jewellery creations.

Jungkook has served as Calvin Klein’s global ambassador since 2023, fronting the brand’s denim and underwear campaigns. The back-to-back holiday releases put two of his biggest fashion partnerships on display in a single day — one in black leather, the other wrapped in gold and diamonds — and underline how central he has become to both brands’ year-end plans. The pairing also shows the two sides of his public image that brands keep returning to: the rebel in leather and the polished prince in white.

Star News also noted Jungkook’s standing beyond K-pop. He is the only K-pop singer on worldfamousthings.com’s list of the 25 most famous people in the world, and one of only two male artists — alongside Justin Bieber — on AOL’s list of the 15 most famous people in the world. The Graff campaign leans directly on that global reach, casting him as the face of its holiday season and betting that his name alone can carry a high jewellery story to audiences far outside the usual luxury market.

The campaign is Jungkook’s latest high-profile outing since completing his mandatory military service in June 2025 alongside his BTS bandmates, with the group widely reported to be preparing a full-group return. His solo work — including the 2023 hit “Seven” and debut solo album “Golden” — kept him in the global spotlight during the group’s hiatus, and the Graff and Calvin Klein campaigns suggest brands are competing to put him at the centre of their biggest seasonal moments.

Graff’s ‘I Wish’ campaign runs through the festive season, with the full film available on the house’s website and YouTube channel. Whether fans treat the ring scene as a joke or a wish, Jungkook has given the holidays their most talked-about proposal — no answer required.
