BTS has closed the Latin American leg of its ARIRANG world tour with a clean sweep: 14 shows in five cities, every one sold out, and a total audience of 853,000 fans.
The run began on October 2 in Bogotá, Colombia, and travelled through Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; and Buenos Aires, Argentina, before closing with three shows at São Paulo’s Morumbi Stadium on October 28, 30 and 31, local time. Big Hit Music confirmed the figures, describing every date as a perfect sellout across the five-city route.
The leg carried several firsts and long-awaited returns. Colombia and Argentina hosted the group’s full seven-member lineup for the first time, while Peru welcomed BTS for its first visit since debut. Chile marked the full group’s first shows there in nine years, and Brazil its first in seven years, since the Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour in 2019.
On stage in South America, the members said the region had been among their most anticipated stops precisely because visits there are rare, and they praised the scale of the crowds’ response. The São Paulo finale underlined that point: more than 85,000 fans at the opening Brazil show sang the folk song “Arirang” back to the group, a moment that became one of the leg’s defining images.
The tour’s local impact went well beyond the stadiums. In Buenos Aires, 96 percent of the audience came from outside the city, more than 130,000 were first-time visitors, and over 48,000 stayed at least one night, averaging 3.5 nights, with spending on lodging, food, transport and leisure estimated at about 53 billion Argentine pesos, roughly 46 billion won, excluding ticket prices. Flight bookings rose 46.6 percent year on year during the Bogotá dates, and lodging searches in Santiago roughly tripled.
The numbers also cap a long climb in Brazil. BTS first met Brazilian fans at a São Paulo fan meeting in August 2014 in a venue holding 1,500 people; twelve years later, the three São Paulo shows alone drew about 252,000 fans. The Lima stop earlier in the leg drew 151,500 fans across three sold-out shows.
With South America complete, the ARIRANG tour now continues to Asia and Australia. The sold-out Latin American leg sets a high bar for the next stops: a tour that sold out every stadium it played, in cities where the group had waited years, in some cases nearly a decade, to return.
