RESCENE Tops October Star Brand Reputation Rankings, BTS and Lim Young Woong Follow cover

RESCENE has claimed the top spot on the Korean Business Research Institute’s October star brand reputation rankings, finishing ahead of BTS and Lim Young Woong.

According to Star News, the institute released the October results on October 28, based on an analysis of star-related big data collected from September 28 to October 28. The rankings measure participation, media coverage, communication and community activity, giving a broad picture of how much public attention each star attracted during the survey period.

RESCENE led the chart with a brand reputation index of 9,090,245. That was down 13.56 percent from the group’s September figure of 10,516,714, but it was still high enough to keep the group in first place among all stars surveyed.

BTS ranked second with an index of 7,488,051, down 2.90 percent from the previous month. Lim Young Woong followed in third with 5,066,266, a 37.49 percent fall from September. Television host Yoo Jae Suk placed fourth with 4,851,811, down 22.67 percent, while BLACKPINK completed the top five with 4,565,494, down 1.43 percent.

The institute’s analysis highlighted RESCENE’s strength across advertising, music and video-related categories, with members Woni, Liv, Minami, May and Zena named in the report. BTS were noted for continuing a world tour with fans around the world, while Lim Young Woong was credited with building a healthy fan culture with his supporters. Yoo Jae Suk’s standing as a leading television host and BLACKPINK’s active solo work were also cited in the analysis.

In total, the institute analysed 215,937,523 pieces of star brand data for October, down 0.60 percent from 217,250,879 in September. The small overall decline makes RESCENE’s first-place finish more notable, since the group held the lead even as the total volume of data and several leading scores fell.

The top 30 also included IVE and footballer Son Heung Min, underlining how the star rankings cut across music, television and sport rather than covering singers alone. No official statement was available beyond the institute’s published figures and analysis.

The monthly rankings will be watched closely next time to see whether RESCENE can defend first place, or whether BTS or Lim Young Woong can close the gap at the top.
