CLOSE YOUR EYES have wrapped their first North American tour on a high note, selling out shows in Los Angeles and Chicago, and the momentum is carrying straight into their homecoming fan concert in Seoul, where all three dates have sold out.
The seven-member group closed the ‘BEYOND YOUR EYES’ tour on November 4 after eight stops across the United States and Canada. The tour kicked off in Atlanta on October 21, then moved through Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Chicago and New York before finishing in Toronto. The Los Angeles and Chicago dates sold out, a result both Ilgan Sports and Sports Chosun highlighted in their reports on the tour’s finale.
The Seoul fan concert is next. Titled ‘I’m a Born Idol, but I Want to Date CLOSER,’ the three-day event runs November 20 to 22 at the Woori Bank Hall inside COEX Artium in Seoul. All three shows are sold out, agency UNCORE confirmed in late October, underscoring how fast the group’s domestic demand has grown. The group will then head to Tokyo for a show at the Shinjuku Cultural Center on November 28.
The tour capped a breakout autumn for the group. Their fourth mini album, ‘256th Note,’ was released on September 30 and sold 711,224 copies in its first week on Hanteo, a new career high that beat the 570,073 copies set by their third mini album, ‘blackout.’ Title track ‘Drop That!’ reworks veteran singer Yoon Si-nae’s classic ‘Yeolae’ into a 1990s street hip-hop sound, and the song earned the group its first KBS2 Music Bank trophy on October 9.
October was the group’s biggest month yet. The ‘256th Note’ comeback delivered the 711,224-copy first-week record on October 9, the same day ‘Drop That!’ took the Music Bank trophy, and the fan concert announcement followed four days later. The North American tour then turned that domestic momentum into an overseas test — one the group passed with the Los Angeles and Chicago sell-outs.
The rise has been fast. CLOSE YOUR EYES were formed through JTBC’s survival show ‘Project 7’ and debuted in April 2025 with their first mini album, ‘ETERNALT.’ Within their first two years, the seven members — Jeon Min-wook, Ma Jingxiang, Jang Yu-jun, Kim Seong-min, Song Seung-ho, Kenshin and Seo Kyung-bae — have gone from their April 2025 debut to a first-week sales record above 700,000 copies, a first music show win and now a sold-out run of shows on two continents. Their fandom, CLOSER, has been the engine behind that climb, turning out in force both at home and abroad.
The North American run was the latest leg of a tour that has been rolling since the start of the year. ‘BEYOND YOUR EYES’ opened with the group’s first solo concerts in Seoul in January, followed by dates in Japan, and the group has kept adding stops as demand has grown. The North American leg, announced alongside the ‘256th Note’ comeback, put the group in front of US and Canadian audiences for the first time.
For now, the focus shifts back to Seoul. With all three fan concert dates sold out and the Tokyo show to follow on November 28, CLOSE YOUR EYES will close out the year in front of the fans who have driven their fastest growth yet — and the sold-out rooms on both sides of the Pacific suggest the next tour will need even bigger venues.
