The late comedian Park Ji-sun is still bringing her peers together — and still making them cry. On the October 5 episode of Shin Dong-yup’s YouTube channel, her KBS 22nd-class classmates shared memories that left everyone teary-eyed.
According to MHN Sports, Jang Hyo-in, Sung Hyun-joo, and Lee Kwang-sub appeared on the show and revealed they still stay in regular contact with Park Ji-sun’s father, calling him before every gathering so he never hears news secondhand.
Jang shared one story that chilled the room. After missing her late friend, she sent a KakaoTalk message reading “Happy birthday, Ji-sun. I miss you so much” — and watched in shock as the unread “1” suddenly disappeared. The reader turned out to be Park’s father.
“He called me right away and said, ‘Surprised? I wanted to give you that feeling too,’” Jang recalled through tears, explaining the father keeps her phone alive and reads every message.
Host Shin Dong-yup closed by saying that talking about Ji-sun so naturally is good for everyone — for her, and for them. Park Ji-sun, born in 1984, debuted as a KBS 22nd-class comedian in 2007 and passed away in November 2020.
