FIFTY FIFTY will open Arirang TV’s new live music program ‘Pocket Soundtrack’ as its first guests, with the premiere arriving first on YouTube and then on television. According to an exclusive report by Sports Kyunghyang, the show’s first episode centers on the group and its music, presented as an intimate live session rather than a large-scale stage production.
The program is built around letters from K-pop fans around the world. The artists introduce the stories behind those letters and answer them with live singing, putting sincere vocal performance and conversation ahead of spectacle. The premiere episode also features a story from an elementary school teacher who is a fan of the group, connected to ‘Pookie,’ the title track of FIFTY FIFTY’s third mini album, along with a surprise song that will be revealed for the first time on the show.
Viewers will be able to watch the premiere in two stages. The episode will be released on YouTube at 8 p.m. KST on October 30, before airing on Arirang TV at 7 a.m. KST on October 31. After the premiere, new episodes will follow the same pattern, with a YouTube release every Friday at 8 p.m. KST and a television broadcast every Saturday at 7 a.m. KST.
Rather than ending with the broadcast, each episode’s music will live on across platforms. Setlists chosen by the members themselves will be released as individual live performance clips, short-form videos, and official playlists for each episode, giving international viewers more than one way to revisit the performances. The YouTube-first rollout also reflects the show’s global ambitions: as an Arirang TV program aimed at audiences beyond Korea, it is designed to travel through the same platforms where international K-pop fans already follow the group.
With the premiere dates now set, the first episode will test whether the letter-and-live-song format can turn fan stories into appointment viewing. The show’s opening choice of FIFTY FIFTY puts the group’s recent title track back in the spotlight, and the first broadcast on October 30 will show how the format plays with a global audience.
