Go Young Wook Denies Writing Viral Cha Tae Hyun Criticism, Blames AI-Generated Fake Quotes cover

Former Roo’ra member Go Young Wook is pushing back against Korean media reports, insisting the viral quotes attributed to him slamming Cha Tae Hyun as “arrogant” were never his words — and suggesting AI may have written them.

According to Sports Seoul, Go addressed the controversy through his social media on October 9, responding to coverage of his reaction to SBS’s “Our Ballad 2.” Outlets had reported that after watching contestant Han Roy’s October 7 performance, he praised her stage, criticized the judges, and took issue with Cha Tae Hyun calling her performance “artificial.”

Go admitted that he did post his thoughts after watching the program and then deleted them. “I’m not an entertainer anymore,” he said, “I just wrote what I felt watching TV as a regular viewer.” But he insists the specific sentences quoted in news reports — including claims he wrote that Cha was “acting arrogantly” — are not his expressions, arguing they read like AI-generated fabrications.

The alleged posts also recalled filming a KBS variety show with a then-unknown Cha Tae Hyun about 30 years ago, fanning the narrative that he had “sniped” the actor.

A day earlier, Go had questioned Yoo Jae Suk’s famous holiday tradition of gifting Korean beef to around 100 acquaintances, claiming the MC’s former 16-year manager never received any.

No official statement was available. Go’s core claim is clear: the deleted post was his, but the explosive quotes making headlines were not.
