god's Son Ho-young Wraps First Solo Concert in 5 Years with 'HORIZON' and 'Go Around' Stage cover

god member Son Ho-young has wrapped his first solo concert in about five years, closing the two-night ‘HORIZON’ run that marked the 20th anniversary of his solo debut.

Son performed on October 31 and November 1 at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, according to MBC Entertainment. It was his first solo show since 2021’s ‘Hello? Son Ho-young.’

Across the two nights, Son sang about 23 songs with a live band. He opened with his solo debut song ‘I Know,’ then delivered seven songs in a row, including solo versions of god’s ‘Stand Up’ and ‘Observation.’

The concert also gave ‘Go Around,’ his new single released last month, its ‘HORIZON’ stage debut. Son wrote the lyrics to the song himself, and MBC Entertainment described it as a refreshing track carrying sincere comfort. Son told the audience that the reaction around him had been good. “This is just the beginning, so I will work harder so fans do not have to wait so long,” he said.

A guitar segment showed another side of the singer. Son picked up the guitar for covers of Maroon 5’s ‘Won’t Go Home Without You’ and Green Day’s ‘Basket Case,’ before revisiting early solo material such as ‘Love Brings Separation,’ ‘Come Out to My House’ and ‘Crying,’ tied together with storytelling.

Near the end of the show, Son thanked fans directly for two decades of support. “Thank you for staying by my side for 20 years. Taking on new challenges made me realize how blessed I am with good people around me,” he said. “For fans, I will gather strength and prepare healthily for the 30th and 40th anniversaries. Let’s go together.”

Son and his agency, Gemstone E&M, gave every audience member a show-specific KiT containing a voice message from Son and a digital photocard, plus Halloween candy. Fans answered with sky-blue lightsticks and a slogan event.

The concert capped a milestone year for Son, who made his solo debut with the album ‘Yes’ in 2006 after rising to fame with god. ‘Go Around,’ released on October 14, was his first solo single in about five years, and fellow god members Kim Tae-woo, Danny Ahn and Park Joon-hyung joined a challenge for the song ahead of the concert.

Son will keep meeting fans in the coming days. He is set to hold an album-release fansign from November 6 to 8, his first in about seven years.
