Jang Dong Min Vows Strongest Run Yet as 'The Devil's Plan: Dead Again' Unveils New Rules Ahead of November 10 Premiere cover

Netflix has set November 10 as the premiere date for “The Devil’s Plan: Dead Again,” unveiling the third season’s 16-player lineup and a reworked rulebook at a press conference in Seoul on November 5. The event was held at the Mondrian Seoul Itaewon, with producer Jung Jong Yeon, producer Choi Yoon Hee, and all 16 contestants in attendance, according to Hankook Ilbo and TV Daily.

The 16 players are Jang Dong Min, Hong Jin Ho, Ha Seok Jin, Oh Hyun Min, Jung Hyun Gyu, Seo Chul Gu, Yurisa, Shindong, Hyun Kyung Ryul, John Park, Jaejae, Nucksal, Lee Do, Stella Jang, Jung Won Young, and Kim Dong Jae. Only one winner will emerge, the producers confirmed.

The biggest change is to elimination itself. Unlike the first two seasons, losing all of a player’s pieces will no longer mean automatic elimination, and a player’s fate will be decided only by the games. Movement between the living quarters and the prison quarters will also be easier and more frequent.

Producer Jung said the season was built around pure brain games. “This season puts the focus on pure brain games,” he said, adding that viewers who enjoy a battle of brains and stamina will find plenty to like.

The subtitle “Dead Again” points to players returning for a second shot after already experiencing elimination, Jung explained. That framing shaped the casting: where earlier seasons largely recruited first-timers, this season deliberately started with winners, added players who changed a previous game, and filled out the field with strong newcomers.

No player drew more attention than Jang Dong Min, who returns with five straight survival-show wins, including “The Genius: Black Garnet” and “Society Game 2.” Jung compared him to Michael Jordan. Jang dismissed talk of retirement in blunt terms. “As long as I am alive, there is no retirement from survival,” he said. “Anyone who throws down a challenge, bring it on.”

Season 2 winner Jung Hyun Gyu also addressed the backlash that followed his previous win. He said he had thought only about winning by any means, without considering viewers, and returned determined to show a more mature approach. Producer Choi said the team takes responsibility for contestants’ well-being during and after filming.

“The Devil’s Plan: Dead Again” premieres on Netflix on November 10, with the 16 legends competing for a single title.
