Jo Jung-suk has a built-in first listener for the songs he writes himself: Gummy, who is free to use any of them if she likes what she hears.
According to OSEN, the actor made the confession in a video posted October 9 on his YouTube channel, titled “What Do We Do? We Got a Script From AI With Director Yeon Sang-ho and Actor Bae Hyeon-seong.” The episode brought Jo together with the director and actor Bae Hyeon-seong to try out a script written by AI.
The music talk came up mid-conversation. Laughing, Jo admitted his own routine: “I also write songs and send them to Gummy, saying ‘give this a listen. If you like it, use it.’”
The OSEN headline frames the remark as coming on the heels of Jo’s own album release, a sign of how seriously the actor is taking his new chapter in music beyond acting.
No official statement was available. The comment was offered casually on the show rather than as a formal announcement, and the report does not detail which of his compositions have made their way to Gummy.
Fans will now be listening closely to see whether a Jo Jung-suk demo ever lands on a Gummy track.
