Actress Kim Ga Yeon’s eldest daughter Im Seo Ryeong is 30 years old, but strangers keep mistaking her for an elementary school student — most recently the caretaker at her little sister’s school.
The story came out in an October 9 video on the family YouTube channel ‘Kim Ga Yeon Im Yo Hwan’s Game Couple,’ titled around three generations of the family’s youth secrets. Seo Ryeong said she went to pick up her younger sister Ha Ryeong wearing a tracksuit, a white T-shirt, and carrying only her phone — and the school caretaker didn’t say a word, assuming she was a sixth grader.
She added that Ha Ryeong’s friends, seeing her come to pick up her sister, asked ‘which middle school do you go to’ and ‘is your older sister a middle schooler?’ Ha Ryeong would answer: ‘My sister is 30 years old.’
Kim Ga Yeon’s mother chimed in that she too was mistaken for far younger. While she and her husband lived as a weekend couple, she said people wondered whether she was the ‘little wife’ — his mistress. ‘I didn’t care at all,’ she laughed, adding that she used to curl her hair and wear suits to look older.
According to the report, Kim Ga Yeon has two daughters, and the elder, born in 1996, is engaged to marry a man ten years her senior.
