Comedian Kim Jun-ho is facing backlash after pranking his pregnant wife, comedian Kim Ji-min, in a video that showed him collapsing as if coughing up blood.
On October 13, Ji-min posted the short clip on her personal account with the caption, “Oh my god!! What is this!!! I won’t walk past my husband. I reflect on it.” In the video, Jun-ho lies motionless on the kitchen floor, red liquid spread in front of his face like blood. Ji-min approaches with a startled expression — then fetches a rag, sprays detergent, and even lifts her husband’s head to clean underneath it. After finishing the cleanup, she leaves him lying there and walks off, wrapping up the comedic roleplay, Xports News reported.
Reactions online were divided. Some netizens called the startling prank inappropriate for a pregnant woman, saying it could startle the baby and telling Jun-ho to “act your age.” Others defended the couple, saying “comedy is just comedy” and calling the criticism excessive.
Sports Chosun later reported that Ji-min has deleted the video.
Jun-ho, born in 1976, and Ji-min, born in 1984, married last July and recently announced their pregnancy. They are expecting a son, nicknamed Dureubi, due in early February.
