Kim Se-in Reveals Agency CEO Threatened Her Career Over Dating Refusal During Jang Ja-yeon Era cover

Actress Kim Se-in has come forward with allegations against a former agency CEO, saying she endured coercion and threats similar to those surrounding the late Jang Ja-yeon’s case.

According to OSEN, Kim spoke on the YouTube channel “Ilsangsogeuro” in a video released October 9, titled “The Reason a Once-Popular Actress Now Lives Doing Coupang Delivery,” opening up about her career and the mistreatment she suffered.

Kim recalled her days as an extra in middle school, earning just 7,000 won for 24-hour shoots. She said an agency CEO ran off with her appearance fees, and even disappeared with several million won she had lent him, leaving her unable to pay rent when it was due.

She then addressed being summoned to drinking venues by the CEO. “At the time of the late Jang Ja-yeon’s case, I was going through something similar,” she said. The CEO invited her to a charcoal-grill restaurant the night before a shoot, plied her with drinks, and threatened her: “If you won’t date me, I’ll cancel all your filming.” When she refused, he never told her about a scheduled shoot, and she missed it.

Kim added that her worst CEO locked her into a five-year contract and would not release her. “He just kept me tied up,” she said.

Known for the sitcom “Oh My God,” Kim began acting at age five after being scouted at a children’s beauty contest and stayed active until about ten years ago. No official statement from the agency was available.
