Jang Jung-yoon, the wife of entertainer Kim Seung-hyun, has made her runway debut at the André Kim fashion show, and she documented the entire behind-the-scenes journey in a new YouTube video.
The story was revealed on October 11 through a video posted on Kim Seung-hyun’s YouTube channel, ‘광산김씨패밀리’ (Gwangsan Kim Family). Titled roughly ‘If Your Husband Is a Celebrity: What a Non-Celebrity Wife Goes Through,’ the video follows Jang from the first offer to the moment she stepped onto the runway alongside her husband as special guests. Jang admitted she nearly turned the opportunity down. She said she received the show offer a few months earlier but rejected it at first, feeling she was neither a model nor runway material and worrying she would be a burden to the production. When the show later contacted her for a fitting, she accepted, calling it a once-in-a-lifetime honor for the family.
“It was so much fun and so cool. I felt like the main character of my own life. My dopamine was exploding,” she said after her first rehearsal, describing the experience of walking a runway for the very first time.
The day of the show was not all glamour. Her car refused to start that morning, and after emergency services confirmed it was not a battery issue, the vehicle had to be towed. She also joked that she had dieted for the show but was too nervous to eat, saying her face had turned gray.
