Kim So-hyun turned her back on Choo Young-woo in the latest episode of ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama “Yeonae Baksa” (ě—°ě• ë°•ě‚¬) — after discovering the deep wound he has been hiding.
The October 12 broadcast, episode 3, showed the pair’s relationship shifting subtly after a sudden first kiss. Push-and-pull over small slights played out at the research lab where both now work.
The trouble started when new researcher Kim Se-jin (played by Im Jin-hyo) joined the lab and only one computer was available. Min-jae (Choo Young-woo) gave it to the newcomer with the relevant background, leaving Yoo-jin (Kim So-hyun) — still struggling with basic robotics terms — fuming. She stormed out saying she would quit the lab, and when he followed her to an empty lecture hall, her frustration poured out. A compliment from math professor Lee Ji-hoon (played by Jang In-sub) about her unique potential slowly restored her smile.
The episode’s biggest twist came at the end. Yoo-jin learned that Min-jae lost one of his legs. She brought him new shoes as a thank-you, watched silently as he calmly tried them on, then fled the lab — and an unexpected distance opened between them just as they were growing closer.
Episode 4 airs October 13 at 10 p.m. KST on ENA and will also be available on KT Genie TV. Whether the two can close the gap remains to be seen.
