Koyote’s Shinji has personally addressed growing concerns about her health after fans noticed her increasingly gaunt appearance in recent photos.
On October 20, Shinji shared photos on social media showing her traveling from Paju, where she had finished a recording, to Mokpo for a performance. Some fans quickly commented that her cheeks looked noticeably thinner and asked whether she was dealing with health problems. When one fan asked, “Are you sick anywhere?” Shinji replied directly: “I caught a cold and have been having a hard time. Besides the cold, I’m healthy.”
She added in another reply, “Thank you. You be careful not to catch a seasonal cold too.”
This is not the first time Shinji’s health has drawn concern. She has appeared significantly slimmer in recent social media photos and YouTube videos, with reports noting her weight had dropped to around 42kg at 164cm. On her YouTube channel “Eotteoshinji?!?” she once showed cupping marks on her body and admitted, “Lately I’ve been quite sick,” and a body composition test on the channel reportedly concluded she had low muscle mass with a body condition comparable to someone in their fifties.
Shinji married singer Moon Won, who is seven years her junior, in May. The couple has been openly sharing their newlywed life through YouTube and broadcasts.
Fans continue to send messages wishing her a full recovery, and no further official statement has been issued beyond her social media replies.
