Lacuna is officially back. The four-member band took the stage as a full group for the first time in about two years at Grand Mint Festival 2026 (GMF2026), unveiling the unreleased new song “Mirae” and closing the night with a venue-wide singalong of their signature track “YOU.”
According to a report from Sports Kyunghyang, the October 17 performance marked the end of the band’s hiatus. Lacuna stepped away after Grand Mint Festival 2024 as members enlisted for military service one by one; drummer Oh Isaac’s discharge on October 6 restored the four-member lineup, and the GMF2026 set served as the launch of their full-scale return.
The band opened with “Far Away,” delivering tight, seasoned playing as they moved across a thrust stage and fed off the crowd’s energy. The first-ever performance of “Mirae” — described as carrying Lacuna’s signature lyrical sentiment and delicate expressiveness — drew a strong response from the audience on its debut. “YOU” closed the set as the crowd’s singalong filled the venue.
Vocalist and guitarist Jang Kyung Min addressed the crowd about returning as a full group and shared that a new album is in preparation, raising expectations for the band’s next chapter. No official agency statement was carried in the report beyond his on-stage remarks.
After the show, Lacuna continued with a live broadcast, performing acoustic versions of “Cake” and “Montauk” for fans who waited through the hiatus. The band is next set to appear at MPMG MUSIC VISION TAIPEI in January 2027, followed by a two-day solo concert at Yes24 Live Hall on February 27 and 28, 2027.
