Lee Hye Jung Says Husband Go Min Hwan, Both OB-GYNs in the Family, Left Her in 6-Person Room After Giving Birth on 'Dongchimi' cover

Lee Hye Jung had harsh words for her husband Go Min Hwan on MBN’s ‘Dongchimi,’ recalling how the obstetrician left her alone in a 6-person ward after childbirth — and told her not to make a fuss.

According to TV Report’s coverage of the October 10 broadcast, Lee appeared on the special ‘A Specialist For Others, But Never Heals Me’ to talk about married life with Go. Her husband is an OB-GYN, and so is her father-in-law — both famously kind to their patients, which she said is exactly why their treatment of her stung.

When she showed bleeding symptoms during pregnancy, her husband only told her curtly, ‘Don’t move. Lie still.’ Her father-in-law, who could not treat her directly, still looked after her ‘far more delicately’ than her husband did, and drove her to the hospital on delivery day.

After admitting her, her husband disappeared, warning her not to make a fuss since his juniors were around. She gave birth at noon, but at around 11 a.m. he left the room to eat lunch, even though she had not eaten since the day before. He returned about 30 minutes later, picking his teeth, saying, ‘I can see the head.’

Her husband’s first words after she delivered their son were, ‘Had a son. Not bad,’ she said. Go responded on the show that many laboring mothers curse their husbands, saying he chose the 6-person room to avoid making a fuss. No official statement was issued beyond the broadcast.
