Former speed skating champion Lee Sang-hwa and singer-TV personality Kangnam are celebrating seven years of marriage, and she marked the occasion with a playful message for her husband.
On October 12, Lee shared photos and a video on her personal account commemorating the anniversary, adding the hashtag “listen to me well” that drew laughs from followers. The seven-year couple’s real-life dynamic came through in a single line.
According to the original report, the photos show the couple taking a mirror selfie side by side — Lee in a light pink sleeveless top and black pants holding the phone, while the blond-haired Kangnam, dressed in a white shirt, looks toward his wife. Another photo shows the pair wearing matching black hats, faces pressed close together for the camera. A video of the two walking down a street with backpacks, seen from behind, was also posted.
Fans flooded the comments with congratulations: “Sincere congratulations,” “Time really flies,” and “You two look so good together,” netizens wrote.
Lee and Kangnam, who is two years her senior, first met on SBS’s ‘Law of the Jungle’ in 2018 and married in October 2019, five months after Lee announced her retirement from competition. The couple won fans by sharing their wedding and newlywed life on SBS’s ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams 2.’
A two-time Olympic gold medalist (Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014, women’s 500m) with a silver from PyeongChang 2018, Lee retired from the ice in 2019 and has since appeared occasionally on Kangnam’s channel ‘Dongnefriend Kangnami.’
No official statement was available beyond Lee’s own post.
