Lee Soo-geun drew big laughs on the October 10 episode of JTBC’s “Knowing Bros” with an ice-cold review of a past guest’s talk show performance.
According to NewsEn, the episode welcomed the Korean basketball national team, fresh off winning gold at the 2026 Asian Games. Seo Jang-hoon greeted player Lee So-hee by pointing out that her coach, Park Jung-eun, had appeared on the show before.
Lee Soo-geun asked whether the coach had given her any advice before the games. Lee So-hee replied that Park had simply told her to do well. Without missing a beat, Lee Soo-geun quipped, “Right. That person didn’t have any particularly outstanding performance either.”
The studio immediately pushed back. “Hey, that coach’s team won,” someone pointed out, with others asking, “What more could she do?” But Lee Soo-geun held his ground, clarifying, “The team won, but I’m talking about here,” gesturing at the show itself.
Park Jung-eun’s earlier appearance on “Knowing Bros” became the setup for the joke, and the national team’s Asian Games gold medal gave the episode its occasion. No official statement was available, and none was needed.
