Leessang’s Gary made a rare public appearance at his son’s school sports day, and the photos have fans talking.
On October 14, Gary’s wife Kim Se-eun shared several photos on her personal account with the caption “신났다 운동회” (“Excited for the sports day”), showing Gary and their son Ha-oh at the event.
In the photos, Ha-oh wears a white T-shirt and grey track pants, smiling brightly. He looks noticeably taller and more grown-up than in his childhood TV appearances. In another shot, he flashes a playful V-pose with a mischievous grin.
Gary kept a low profile in a black hoodie, a cap, and sunglasses, but stood out among the other parents anyway. Kim Se-eun added the note “아빠도 열심히 참여” (“Dad also participated hard”), showing that Gary threw himself into the day with his son.
The sighting drew attention because Gary has stepped back from broadcast activities for about five years, making any update on his life a small event for fans.
Gary married a non-celebrity ten years his junior in April 2017, and their son was born that October. In 2020, Gary and Ha-oh, whose full name is Kang Ha-oh, appeared together on KBS 2TV’s family show ‘The Return of Superman,’ where their warm father-son chemistry won over viewers.
With the rapper keeping such a low profile these days, fans will no doubt keep watching for the next glimpse of the family.
