Broadcaster Nam Chang-hee is going to be a dad. On October 10, his agency TN Entertainment confirmed that his wife is now 23 weeks into her pregnancy.
“Nam Chang-hee’s wife is in her 23rd week of pregnancy,” the agency said. “Even while keeping up with his busy broadcast schedule, he has been taking careful care of her health and focusing on prenatal care.”
According to the report, the pregnancy began around May — roughly three months after the wedding. That means the couple’s good news is not a shotgun wedding, despite the timing.
Nam shared the news with listeners himself first. On October 9, during the live broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s “Yoon Jung-soo and Nam Chang-hee’s Mr. Radio,” which he co-hosts, he personally confessed the pregnancy on air.
He married on February 22 at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, wedding his non-celebrity girlfriend after four and a half years of dating. When announcing the marriage at the time, he told his radio listeners: “I have come to bear fruit with the person I’ve been quietly dating. We promised to walk one path together.”
No further official statement was available beyond the on-air announcement and the agency’s confirmation.
